Heat Transfer Coils & Equipments
Armstrong International provides custom-designed heat transfer coils, packaged equipment, and engineered solutions for air and gas heating, cooling, and process-related applications. These products are engineered for industrial and institutional facilities worldwide, with options to support process air heating, boiler air preheating, heat recovery, make-up air units, and other thermal applications. Armstrong offers expert design, material selection, and packaged solutions to meet specific application requirements.
Heavy-Duty Heat Transfer Coils
Armstrong manufactures heavy-duty steam, water, and glycol heat transfer coils in a wide variety of sizes and materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminium. These coils are custom-built for performance, durability, corrosion resistance, and long service life. Coils can be coated for harsh environments and designed with fin and tube arrangements to help manage dirt buildup in demanding conditions.
Series 6000 Coils
Armstrong’s Series 6000 heavy-duty coils are engineered for stringent industrial requirements. These coils are available with multiple material and construction options to resist corrosion and withstand severe operating conditions. Series 6000 coils are designed with strong welded tube-to-header joints and are often manufactured in accordance with applicable standards to ensure reliable performance.
Duralite™ Plate Fin Coils
Armstrong Duralite™ plate fin steam and liquid coils are offered in multiple configurations, including centifeed (steam-distributing), standard, and return-bend designs. These coils are suitable for HVAC and light industrial applications, with options for different tube and fin materials to match application requirements.
Unit Heaters and Door Heaters
Armstrong offers heavy-duty unit heaters and door heaters that incorporate high-performance cores, rugged construction, and corrosion-resistant materials for long operating life. These units can be configured for steam or liquid heating mediums and are suitable for environments requiring reliable temperature control and airflow management.
Large Space Heating Units
For large, open spaces such as warehouses and hangars, Armstrong’s Rotabreath and similar high-mounted heating units are designed to deliver effective air movement and temperature control. These units are built to handle elevated ceilings and large volumes, and they can be customised to suit specific application needs.
Duramix™ Face and By-pass Coils
Armstrong Duramix™ integral face and by-pass heating coils provide air temperature control at full steam pressure. These coils are engineered for consistent leaving-air temperatures despite variations in entering-air conditions. Armstrong provides options for industrial-grade designs and materials to suit different application requirements.
Tank Heaters
Armstrong tank heaters are designed for industrial use and constructed with heavy-walled pipes, thick fins, and robust welds to withstand rigorous environments. Finned pipe tank heaters provide superior heat transfer efficiency and reduced surface film temperatures, which helps minimise deposits and cleaning needs.
Air Cooled Heat Exchangers
Armstrong air cooled heat exchangers (ACHE) are custom-fabricated to meet specific customer needs. These units cool a range of media including water, glycol, lubricants, fuels, and process fluids. ACHE units can be built with heavy-duty industrial specifications or lighter-duty designs for institutional applications, and they include options for fan types, drive configurations, and protective accessories.
Outer Casings and Transitions
Armstrong supplies custom outer casings and duct transitions designed to house heat transfer coils for new and existing installations. These include options for inspection access, cleaning ports, and materials suited to the application environment, supporting coil maintenance and system integration.
Custom Packaged Solutions
Armstrong can provide prepiped and preassembled heat transfer packages that integrate coils with steam supply, control valves, flow meters, condensate recovery, and monitoring components. These packaged solutions reduce field installation complexity and ensure accurate performance tailored to site requirements.
